Sharing Some Personal Growth

5 Keys to Living a Good Life

You are never on your own if you are listening to the famous Jim Rohn.   I have heard his name many times over the years and occasionally heard bits and pieces of his recordings, but never really listened in earnest. Until now.  One of my mentors insisted I need to listen to Mr. Rohn as part of my quest for sustained personal growth.   So, I thought blogging about it would be a good way of learning and reinforcing this information for me and anyone kind enough to read my blog.

Over the past 10 days, I have listened to Jim Rohn's audio CD, "Building Your Network Marketing Business" over and over whenever I drive my car.  And I'll be honest, I am not tired of it yet.  I like hearing what he has to say, and this cd would be great whether I had a network marketing business or not.  Rohn's life philosophies and observations are so spot on, they just resonate with me.  I believe you will agree if you listen to Jim Rohn too.   There's plenty of free stuff to hear all over the internet, but here's a link to the Jim Rohn Channel on Youtube.

There's so many awesome quotes and pertinent information, I wasn't sure where to start, but ended up deciding on Jim Rohn's 5 keys to Living a Good Life.   Here they are with my comments added.

1.     Productivity - If you don't produce you won't be happy.

We all need to have a feeling of accomplishment, don't we?  Network marketing is
all about producing, and helping others produce, and in the end we all make some
         money.

2.     Good Friends - The greatest support system in the world is your circle of friends.

This is the most difficult part of network marketing, not alienating your friends and
families.  There has to be a balance here.   Yes we ask our friends and families to
help, but if they don't, so be it.   It's just the way it is.   Move on and maintain those
         friendships.

3.     Spirituality - Humans are special beings, above all others here on earth.   Discover
what is of value to you and Study, Practice, and Teach.

These words ring so true to me.  When something excites you, read about, study
and learn it inside and out.   Then practice what you learned on a daily basis to
reinforce it in yourself and in others watching you.  Teach and share what you
learn to help others grow with you.

4.     Don't miss anything - Games, plays, concerts, classes, songs, words and whatever
else nourishes you.   "If you live well you will earn well.   If you live well it will
show up in the texture of your voice.  If you live well it will show up in your face.
If you live well it will show up in the magnetism of your personality.   If you live
well.   Don't miss all the nourishment of all the things around you that can help
        you live a good life."

        Enough said right there!

5.    The Inner Circle - Take care of your inner circle and they will take care of you.
Inspire them and they will inspire you.  There is nothing more valuable than
       the inner circle.

Jim Rohn is talking about family and love here.  The greatest virtue is love, one
person caring for another.  No better way to live than to love and be loved.  We
will all be better off in our business and personal lives if we protect and nurture
       our inner circle.

"Ask for God’s help, we can all use a little help.  We have a chance as human beings to participate in the miracle process, and you can do that every day as often as you wish.  Changing somebody’s life, rescuing them from oblivion, building an organization second to none so that your name will appear in many people’s  testimonials. " - - Jim Rohn
